Toys for Our Future Empire Builders

I hadn't planned to post today, but I couldn't keep silent about this. For sale at J.C.Penny and several other outlets is this "Forward Command Post," aka the bombed out remains of some poor dead Iraqi's home. For just $44.99, you can give the child in your life the opportunity to take command of his soldiers from this fully outfitted battlezone. "75-piece set includes one 111/2"H figurine in military combat gear, toy weapons, American flag, chairs and more. Assembled dimensions; 32x16x32"H. Plastic. 10 lbs. Ages 5 and up."

This is not a joke. It's real. It's also sick, and scary. Merry Christmas.

Well...this is pretty horrifying. I would imagine there's a videogame companion piece. It's something to get a kid to go along with his neocon collector cards.

Incredible. When things that once were only subjects of Saturday Night Live or Mad Magazine satire become real products, we're in trouble. Both bad taste and the taste for violence have prevailed.

I suppose the "dead bodies" are sold separately? Disgusting.
