Solomon Released Today
Today is the official release date for The Solomon Effect. After all that has happened--or should I say, all that has not happened--I must admit to watching its debut with a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. But the great folks in the Harper Collins publicity department have been scrambling to try to rescue its maiden voyage from a Titanic-like fate.
A friend flying up to New York tells me she saw the book sitting at the #18 slot at the airport bookstall, evidence that they have indeed come up with at least some last-minute coop. And if you go to bookpage.com you'll see that The Solomon Effect is their third featured book, right after Paterson and Albom.
The "featured book" highlight is only there for today, Tuesday, but it links to a piece we wrote that can be read here.

Fingers crossed that it flies off the shelves. Is it available in eformat? Just thinking it is exactly DH's type of book and he is now the proud owner of a sony reader after his recent birthday - it's proving perfect for all his travel.

Just returned from my neighborhood B&N with TSE! It was displayed on the main aisle on "the tower" top row next to James Patterson and above Stephen King.
Oh - World Market is on the way out from B&N. I braked when I remembered your glowing rec of Arnott's Mint Slice Chocolate Biscuits. Thought a biscuit or two might help me get through the cliffhanger parts in TSE. :)

Several independent bookstores have always had me sign boxes of the Sebastian books in the past, so hopefully they'll do it again. I always sign for the Garden District here in New Orleans.
I didn't get started reading until late in the evening. Next thing I knew it was 1:00 a.m. I took it with me to a doctor's appt. that day where I had ample time to finish it off while waiting.
LOVED the Arnott's mint slices! I chose not to read the label until they were all gone. :)
The Garden District's website says you'll be there 11/7 to sign What Remains of Heaven; to call to order signed copies.
I have the same feelings as Steve does about your writing, Candy. You are going places.

Just read TSE in one day and thought it was amazing, but just a little confused. Is TSE the second book of the series after The Archangel Project? Just randomly picked up the book in the airport and glad I did, now just trying to find out more about the series. Thanks in advance for help.
Dalton, so great to hear you enjoyed it! Yes, Solomon is the second in the series, after The Archangel Project. The third, The Babylonian Codex, will be out in about a year.
